What does “Irreducible Complexity” imply?

"From within the highest ranks of the scientific community came a startling new theory of creation that not only contradicts Darwinian orthodoxy but opens the door to theological arguments biologists have dismissed and ridiculed for more than a century." Biochemist Michael Behe wrote Darwin's Black Box in 1996. This giant in the scientific community argues cogently that the mechanisms inside even the simplest cells make Darwinian Evolution a scientific impossibility.

If he is right, it leaves, in my mind, only two possible realities that really represent one: An intelligent designer. But before you click off, tell me what you think. As the scientific and non-scientific communities come to terms with the facts, which will win out—extraterrestrial higher intelligence, or a creator God? Are they the same or different options? Is this much ado about nothing or the proverbial last straw that will bring down the already shaky support for Darwinism?

Who Are You?

How do you see yourself? Do you see your 'flesh', or the real you (according to God’s word)? Do you see the "new creature" or the remnants of who you used to be? Do you see YOU, seated with Christ in the heavenly realm, in union with Him? Paul says TWICE in Romans 7 that it is no longer I who sins. What are you going to believe? What are you therefore going to expect from you? You have to meditate on these things constantly. If your work or your tee time or another person or March Madness is more important to you (idols?), you will miss out on digesting and appropriating God's amazing truth about who and where you are RIGHT NOW! And what you will get are the ‘works of the flesh’ (Galatians 5:19,20).

Look at this passage:

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”-Colossians 3:1-4
Are we going to believe those words or not? Don’t relegate them to ‘positional truth’. God is saying that if you saw yourself without being limited to physical sight, if you saw yourself as you really are RIGHT NOW, you would see something amazing! You would see that you are already in union with Christ, seated with Him at the Father’s right hand, a glorious new creation in all respects. Somehow, though that is true, we function now with a consciousness that operates from the ‘body of death’ we walk around in on planet earth. We default to that earthly view of reality, even though God says here and elsewhere that it is not the reality. That is why he is urging us to reprogram our minds through the truths in that passage and in places like Romans 8!

And then Paul says that if we refuse to see it now, we WILL see who we really are then, when, on the day Christ appears, we see the invisible realm and realize that all along we have been in union with Him, glorious branches in the Vine, literal parts of His Body (He is the Head), new creatures where the old is passed away and ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW (right now), dead to sin and alive IN CHRIST.

Do yourself a favor and cry out to God to show you who you are in Him, Then walk in the truth in moment-by-moment total dependence on Him to live through you while you occupy your ‘earth suit’ here on this planet!

God Bless.

PS-Read Romans 8 and dare to believe that it means all that it says!

A Trauma Center For Troubled Marriages?

If you were going to design a ministry for troubled marriages that was more than a weekend or a conference or a small group, what would it look like? I'm thinking of a live-in situation of some kind. I know that Peter Lord and his wife, for years would have a couple live with them for a period of time so they could disciple them toward health in their marriage. What a commitment, on both sides! I believe there are many, many marriages where something different and significant has to happen, with other believers involved, to glorify God and bring wholeness.

Is Fear of Punishment a Valid Reason to Turn to Jesus?

Is it possible to turn to Jesus for the wrong reason? When Jesus said, "...whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life", what kind of believing is necessary to obtain eternal life? If someone turns to Him just to escape eternal punishment for sins, will that save them? Tell me what you think.
